This year’s event brought together an incredible community of bodies, identities, and smiles for an unforgettable summer evening filled with sunshine, connection, and unapologetic joy. What Made 2025 Different?
This year’s KKP Boudoir Pool Party hit a little different — in the best way.
We hosted the event on a Friday evening and extended it to a four-hour experience, and that extra time changed everything. There was no rush, no pressure to squeeze it all in. People had time to arrive, settle in, float, talk, laugh, dance, and just be.
The longer window created more room for connection — more conversations in the lazy river, more photo moments, more chances to cheer each other on. It felt less like an event you had to keep up with and more like a shared summer night with community.
That slower pace, paired with the same intentional, inclusive energy KKP is known for, made this year feel especially meaningful. More time together meant deeper connection — and that’s something we’ll be thinking about long after the towels dried.
Celebrating Every Body
One of the things I love most about the KKP Boudoir Pool Party is the incredible diversity of our guests. We’ve created a space where all genders, colors, bodies, and sizes are celebrated—and yes, even furries! There’s something so special about seeing so many different people coming together, united by a shared sense of acceptance and joy. Every time I looked around, I saw nothing but smiles, and it made my heart so happy. This event is a reminder that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated, and I’m so proud to have created a space where that can happen.
A Personal Mission Fulfilled
I won’t lie—putting this event together is a lot of work. It takes months of planning, late nights, and an incredible team of volunteers who pour their hearts into making it happen. But you know what? It’s all worth it. I truly believe this is what I’m meant to do: to help create spaces where people can come as they are, feel safe, and celebrate their authentic selves. There’s nothing like hearing someone say this was their first time wearing a swimsuit in years, or that they finally felt comfortable in their own skin. That’s what this is all about for me, and it brings me so much joy.
Sober Fun in a Bourbon-Filled City
One thing that makes this event stand out is that it’s a sober celebration. In a city like Louisville, where bourbon is basically in the water, creating an alcohol-free space might seem like a challenge—but it’s one that I’ve embraced from day one. The KKP Boudoir Pool Party proves that you don’t need alcohol to have an amazing time. The laughter, connection, and pure joy are all the more genuine, and the energy is just as high—if not higher—without the influence of alcohol. I’m proud to offer a space where people can truly let loose, have fun, and make lasting memories, all without a drop of alcohol.

Why a Pool Party?
We have officially been taking your nudes for SIX YEARS! I couldn’t think of anything else I’d rather be doing. Year six has been a year of growth for KKP. I feel like I’ve really grown into the photographer I want to be, using our home studio in ways that are new and exciting, continuing to educate myself, while also bringing on our first intern. But honestly, none of this would be possible without the trust of every single one of our babes.
Back in 2019, we decided to host a pool party as a way to celebrate our anniversary, give back to our clients and the community we had formed, welcome new people into the family, and—let’s be real—being in a swimsuit is as close to lingerie as you can get. A boudoir session is an intimate experience, sometimes involving coming to terms with how our bodies look and feel. I wanted to create a safe space outside the studio where more people could experience that same feeling of comfort in their skin, and just enjoy the hype of having a good time!
This pool party has become an extension of that boudoir experience—a way for our clients to take the confidence and joy they feel during their sessions and bring it into a fun, inclusive environment where they can share it with our community and make new friends.
